Meal Service Begins Sept. 1

Most schools in the Long Beach Unified School District will offer grab-and-go breakfasts and lunches during weekdays starting Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Five school sites will not provide meals, including Cubberley, Fremont, Longfellow and Stevenson elementary schools as well as the California Academy of Mathematics and Science. Any 菠菜网lol正规平台 student can receive meals at any of the other sites.

Schedule from Sept. 1 to 11:

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at elementary, middle, K-8 and high schools (except for Jordan High School)
  • Noon to 1:30 p.m. at Jordan High

Schedule Starting Sept. 14

  • 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at elementary and high schools (except for Jordan High School)
  • Noon to 1:30 p.m. at middle schools, K-8 schools and Jordan High

Avalon K-12 School on Catalina Island also will offer meals starting Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students or parents may pick up meals for all 菠菜网lol正规平台-enrolled students in the household. Schools are not able to provide meals for non-enrolled siblings.

During meal pick-up, parents and/or students will be required to use their lunch PIN number, student ID card from last year, or student ID number to provide confirmation of enrollment in the school district. Families may bring documentation such as a ParentVue printout of their child’s schedule or meal benefits eligibility letter issued by Nutrition Services. Students who do not qualify for free and reduced-price meals may purchase meals. Meal pricing for the new school year will be posted on the Nutrition Services website (also available in the A-Z index at ngskmc-eis.net). All families will be required to follow social distancing protocols during meal pick-up, including the use of facial coverings.

Remember to visit the Nutrition Services website to complete and submit the online application for free and reduced-price meals before the new school year begins. Completing the form online is fast and easy. Families also are invited to follow Nutrition Services on Instagram @lbusdnutrition.
